You have used an e-dec Business Valuation program to calculate the value of a business interest. The next task is to document and present the valuation to those who wish to use it for decision, transaction or administrative purposes. In some cases, a brief Valuation Certificate is sufficient to record the valuation results. In other cases, a substantive letter is more appropriate to explain, document and convey your valuation. Business Valuation Letters provides three letters or three reports that fulfil this role.

Each letter provides a template in which you include specific information about the business and valuation at hand. These templates use information produced by the Business Valuation program.

You have choices as to (i) the length and detail of the valuation letter and (ii) the form, whether it is in letter format or report format.

• Valuation Certificate. This one page certificate is printed from the Business Valuation program.
• Standard Valuation Letter. This is a formal letter documenting and presenting the valuation. It is about six pages in length plus up to 10 pages of tables on financial information and business forecasts.
• Medium Valuation Letter. This letter contains more detail on the methodology and forecasts. The Medium letter typically is 10 to 12 pages in length, plus 10 pages of tables covering financial information and business forecasts.
• Long Valuation Letter. This letter contains the most detail on the methodology, business forecasts and valuation results. It is typically 20 to 25 pages in length, plus 10 pages of tables covering financial information and business forecasts.
